Feedback on Setting
Greetings and best wishes to everyone! I’m not sure what the weather has been like in your neck of the woods, but in Highlandtown, Ohio, USA it has been scorching for the past few days! Fortunately, it is raining today (Monday), and the rest of the week is predicted to be delightful.
I’ve had the pleasure to read some reviews of my latest book, ‘A Year Of The Teacher’, as well as speak with people who have read it. Again, one of the things on which I wanted to focus when writing it, was to make it universal. The purpose of that was to enable the reader to visualize the setting they perceived while reading it. From the sample I’ve reviewed thus far, I’m certainly achieving that goal. Some of the identified settings by various readers include: Appalachia, The Rust Belt, Inner City, and Rural Settings.
I’m very happy to see these results! Every person who reads my contemporary fictional novel can become more involved with it since they are able to establish the setting in their own mind.
There has been some interesting feedback on some of the characters in my book, also. I will share some of those details in my next blog.
Have a great week!
