Looking To The New Year
2019 was a fantastic year! I had my second published book released in April. I was fortunate to have been a part of book fairs, book signings at Barnes and Noble Bookstores, and presentations and book signings in libraries. These events took place in three different states, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I enjoy answering questions about my fictional novel, ‘A Year of the Teacher’, as well as sharing ideas and stories with other writers regardless of the genre of their work. As I’ve noted earlier, but can’t say enough, how much pleasure is taken from speaking with younger people, high school ad college aged, many aspiring to be writers. The picture below shows one such student, now in Graduate School at West Virginia University.
Since the beginning of the new year, I’ve taken part in an author signing at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore located in Morgantown, West Virginia, USA. My wife, Joni, and I had a wonderful afternoon there last Saturday, January 11th, selling and signing books, and talking with some very friendly people. It was a two-hour drive for us to get there, and another two hours home. Amazingly, the temperature outside was 76 degrees!
Next Saturday, January 18, 2020, I’ll be at a book signing at the Barnes and Noble located in Woodmere, Ohio, USA. This is very close to Cleveland, Ohio. This is also a two-hour drive, but in the opposite direction of Morgantown. Three inches of snow are already predicted there for Saturday. This is more typical weather for where we live.
Have a great week, everyone!
